Your IKEA Kitchen. Reinvented.
Mo-Kea replaces your IKEA kitchen fronts with handcrafted plywood and timber doors – made in Raglan, made to last.
IKEA kitchens are smart. The frames are well-engineered, affordable and easy to install. But the fronts? They look like everyone else's kitchen.
Mo-Kea changes that. We design and handcraft custom replacement doors and drawer fronts for IKEA METOD frames, in real plywood and timber veneer finishes. The result is a kitchen that feels completely unique – without replacing the perfectly good frame underneath it.
How Mo-Kea Works
1. You have (or plan to install) an IKEA kitchen frame Mo-Kea works with IKEA's METOD system (available in NZ and Australia). You can install the frames yourself or use an IKEA installer – we just need the frame sizes.
2. We design your fronts together We talk through materials, finishes, handle styles and the overall look you're going for. We'll show you samples and project references.
3. We handcraft your fronts in Raglan Every front is cut, finished and quality-checked in our Raglan workshop. Lead time is typically 4–6 weeks.
4. You receive your fronts, ready to hang Fronts arrive pre-drilled for IKEA's standard hinge system. Swap them out yourself, or we can help with installation for local clients.
